The John Henry Newman Award is the highest honor given to a student of the St. Philip Neri Newman Center.  It is given to the student whose participation represents the highest standards of faith, leadership and scholarship. Recipients of this award are nominated by their peers and chosen by a review committee.

 The Caritas Christi Award is given to students who excel in sharing the Christian faith to others and embody the principle of "heart speaking to heart." Recipients of this award are chosen by the Newman Center Chaplain and Campus Minister.
