Welcome to the University of Tulsa and your new Spiritual home, St. Philip Neri Catholic Newman Center. I’ve just been assigned here so this is my new home, too. I’m looking forward to an incredible year! I know what an important time in your life college will be, and also the sense of freedom that comes from being away from home. Don’t leave your faith life where you left your dirty laundry, back with your parents.
Join hundreds of other young Catholics here at the Catholic Newman Center for Mass during the week and on Sunday, free lunch every Tuesday, hanging out away from your dorms, and fun activities that will help you make some awesome friends and grow more in love with Jesus. I know, that sounds corny, right? But seriously, our faith is amazing, and it’s going to be the one steady thing in your life that brings you deep fulfillment and also helps you through all the tough times. If you have any questions or need to talk, don’t hesitate to contact me directly or the Catholic Newman Center staff. Also check out some of the things we already have planned below. Welcome Week
Welcome Week is our way of encouraging you to come over, have some fun, meet new people, and see what we have to offer. We’d love to have you at these fun events. This year's jam packed week will take place August 21 to 27, 2011.
Bring friends; it doesn’t matter what religious affiliation or views you or they express. In the past we have watched a drive-in movie (right here at Newman!), visited Braum’s for ice cream after Mass, played mini-golf, and much more.
